Richard Beggs

Stud Manager

As the fourth generation of the Beggs family to manage the Nareeb Nareeb flock, Richard has been at the helm since the nineties. Despite many farms around him shifting more to cropping or prime lambs, Richard’s focus’s remains steadfastly on wool. When not working on the farm, Richard enjoys fishing, hunting and football, although he notes that it’s more watching than playing footy these days! Richard is married to wife Sally and has three sons, Ben, Edward and Charlie.

Hugh Beggs

Stud Principle

Hugh moved to Nareeb Nareeb in 1962 and worked alongside his father Sandford until the late 1970’s, when he took over management of the Nareeb Nareeb Stud.
Hugh has played an important role in the wool industry at both a local and international level, having been President of the Australian Wool Corporation as well as Chairman of the International Wool Secretariat during the late 1980’s and early 1990’s.
Although mostly retired, Hugh still resides at Nareeb Nareeb with his wife Frankie and lends a hand around the farm most days, when he’s not travelling, fishing, or doing amazing woodwork in his garage.

Dale Bruns

Stud Classer

Elizabeth (or Liz) works closely with our stud principle when supervising lambing. She is also responsible for scrap cleanup. Liz enjoys chasing rabbits and fetching when she isn’t in her office.
